Happy Friday beautiful ladies! I hope your week has been happy and productive and that you’re geared up for the weekend ahead. We’re taking a little road-trip to the U.P. with some friends and I’m really looking forward to it. We’re going to do some hiking to some waterfalls, see Pictured Rocks and just get some R&R. I love little road trips like this and know that they will get a little harder to do once baby girl comes so trying to get one in this summer! Although, it will be that much more fun with her next year and I am so, so excited for those memories.
Today’s post is about a staple item that isn’t considered “maternity” necessarily, but they have been a staple in my wardrobe the past few months and to say that I’m excited these babies made their way into the fashion world is an understatement haha. With that being said, one of my favorite items to sport over my growing belly had been biker shorts. I have always been a leggings girl when I get the opportunity to wear them so the fact that these shorts are basically like leggings, but for warmer weather just puts the cherry on top! I believe the pair I’m wearing here is actually a maternity style that I scored from ASOS for super cheap and it has been so nice having this pair because I can either wear them up over my bump or rolled down underneath depending on the day.
It is funny to think how different things fit and feel being pregnant. Before I had always thought I would like things up-high over-top of my bump because I was so used to wearing high-rise jeans and loved the fit of those, but how things have changed haha. I mainly prefer bottoms to be a low-rise so they aren’t putting pressure up higher on my belly. Like I said though, I love that with these I have the option to wear them low or high. I typically will add an over-sized tee or tank with some comfy sneakers or sandals and be on my way. These simple outfits have been a life-save for me and you can bet I’ll be keeping these babies out for as long as I can. Who am I kidding though, once the weather starts to cool down I’ll be right back in some leggings! haha
Do you guys like the bike-shorts or are they a no-go for you? I didn’t think I would like them, but I was pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to continue to sport them next summer when I don’t have the bump!
Have a fabulous weekend loves and stay safe!
Until next time…
