Happy Wednesday beauties, I hope your week has been great so far! Is it just me or does it feel like these days and weeks just keep flying by faster and faster?! I remember being younger and having people say “you’ll miss high school when you’re done, or you’ll miss softball practice and games when you’re older, or life goes by too quick, before you know it you’ll be married and having kids. I remember always thinking “yeah, yeah, yeah”, but now that I really look back, all of those statements were so spot on. I’ve really been trying to take a step back lately and live in the moment, although, that can be challenging at times with being so busy with work and everyday life. If you weren’t aware, I own a permanent cosmetics business in downtown Bay City, MI where I do eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. I also recently decided to add a little more to my plate and started working at Tondue Medical Spa, which is right around the corner from my shop. At the spa I do microneedling (vampire facials), hydrafacials (which are the bees, btw!) and coolsculpting (freeze those fat cells!).

So, needless to say, I’ve been pretty dang busy lately! Honestly though, I feel like I do so much better when I am busy. I don’t know what it is, but having a schedule and an agenda each day is what I need in order to stay focused. Of course there are days that I want to just lay on the couch and veg out all day, but I am a busy body and love it. With that being said, the past few weeks I have stepped away from the social media realm a bit more and have to be honest, it has felt SO GOOD. Not to say that I don’t ever go on Instagram because I do and I post each day, but beforehand I was feeling so sucked in that it really got to be so overwhelming. It was like I always felt the need to make sure I was looking through my feed multiple times a day and catching up on stories because if I didn’t I would feel so far behind. Because I have been so busy there are days that I don’t even open IG until night-time when I’m laying in bed relaxing because that is the only chance I’ve had that day. It has been a good little reminder to take a step back and try to be present instead of having a phone in your hand 24/7.

Sorry for my little rant, but I felt the need to catch you guys up on my life a little bit and let you know what I’ve been up to. Now that we have all of that on the table, lets move on to today’s post, shall we?! 😉

This jacket was one that I had been eyeing up for a couple of months and never really pulled the trigger on until a few weeks ago. I was a little hesitant because I didn’t know what to expect. I couldn’t really tell from the pictures if it was going to be more like a business casual blazer to wear or if it was more of a thicker jacket. Needless to say, I decided that whichever the case was, I would be happy with it so I went for it. When I received it in the mail I was pleasantly surprised that it actually is a pretty thick jacket (much thicker than I anticipated). I would say it is definitely a great option for fall, winter and spring so that’s an A+ in my book to be able to sport it through multiple seasons! I love the fact that you can dress it up and wear it with a dress or skirt, but also dress it down and wear it more on the casual side like I did here.

If you stuck with me to this point I want to “thank-you” for bearing through my little vent session and life update! haha The hubs and I are heading to Chi-town this weekend for St. Patty’s day and I’m so super excited! Do you guys have any fun plans?! If so, I hope you have a blast and stay safe!

Until next time….

♥ Paige
