Winter Dress Wear

Ok, so if you haven’t already taken away how much I hate this cold winter, peep my Instagram post from Monday and you’ll see how I really feel! I’m honestly good with winter for a month or two (at most), but I am so over the 5-6 months of the dreary freezing cold. Sadly, we still have about a good 2-3 months left of it. On a happier note though, have I mentioned that I’ll be leaving for vacation soon?! 😉 Eeeekk! I can’t explain how excited and ready I am to be somewhere warm with some sunshine and the beach! It will definitely be a good change from having to wear 7 layers to even walk outside, ya feel me?!

With all that weather talk being said, I honestly would love to wear an oversized sweater and some denim or leggings every single day, but I do like to switch things up a bit from time to time. Dealing with the cold weather it can be tough to break-out various pieces that I normally could during the warmer months so I’ve been trying to improvise and make things work. For this outfit I was still able to wear this maxi dress in the snow and cold by layering a turtle neck and leggings underneath. I added another layer on top with the black denim jacket for a little more warmth. If I wanted to go a few steps further I could have also threw on a blanket scarf and a beanie.

My main focus of this post is to encourage you to think outside the box and try to mix pieces during climates that you normally wouldn’t. After all, what is better than being able to wear a piece through all four seasons?! I’m all about getting my wear for my money, which is something that has pushed me to expand my creations and style a bit more.
