Stripes & Bells

The title of this blog post displays two items that I can never see myself getting sick of: stripes and bell sleeves. Stripes are always such a classic and simple detail to an item and bell sleeves add that feminine and chic vibe to any top. This top in particular stood out to me because of the color combination and the fact that it is a piece that can be worn both dressed up because of the bell sleeve detail or dressed down because of the stripes and casual feel/look of the top in general. It reminded me of a dressy thermal top and to me, that gets an A+. I’m all about an item that can be worn dressy when you want them to be, but most of the time as a casual piece.

If you haven’t noticed already, my style is pretty laid-back and casual. I’m not one to get dressed up in dresses and heels too often, but I do love those times that I get to! For my everyday activities and lifestyle, casual wear is what fits me most. So because I kept this outfit fairly casual, I decided to add in another pop of color and pattern with having the flannel tied around my waist. Sometimes adding an additional item to an outfit can play-off as more of an accessory than a layering piece and that is exactly what this flannel did here.

Ok, so the three things I covered in this blog post I don’t think many people can’t love: stripes, bell sleeves AND flannels?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

XOXO
