Pinks & Stripes

I know you’re all very aware, but it’s FRIDAYYYYYY and I want to scream it to the roof-tops! šŸ™‚ I’m ready for another fun weekend ahead with a great group of friends and family. I hope you all have some fun stuff planned as well because we know all too well how fast these lovely summers go! It’s hard to believe it’s already the middle of June as it is. Today’s post features this simple outfit that I sported a few weeks back when Michigan gave us a chilly day out of nowhere (surprise, surprise). I love this kind of outfit because it’s pretty simple and basic, but it’s enough to look put together. This button up is one that I can wear to work to dress up, on the weekends with some denim like I did here or even during the summer to throw on over some swimwear and some cut-off shorts.

I honestly was never much of a pink fan in the past, but it is growing on me more and more lately. I’m finding myself searching for items in the pink/blush tones this spring/summer season and I’m actually really liking this fun/girly color phase I’m going through! To add a little more detail to this outfit (and to help with my dirty hair day, haha!) I added a neck-tie that included some pink flowers. I thought this combo went well because both the neck-tie and button-up played off each other. What are your thoughts on wearing pink? Do you like it or do you stay away from it most times?

That’s all for today beauties, have a safe and exciting weekend and I’ll be back on Monday!
