Red, White & Blue

Hello to all of you wonderful people! I hope you had a lovely weekend and were able to enjoy some of the beautiful weather we were blessed with here in the mitten. I’m sure you can all relate, but I loved every minute of it! I was able to spend time with friends on Friday and Saturday, Saturday night was my husbands firefighter banquet where he received his 5-year pin (go babe!) and on Sunday I focused on our house and got a lot of yard work done and boy did it feel good!

So today’s post is taking it back to Memorial Day last week and although this day has come and gone this year, I still wanted to make it a point to do a post on it. I posted a picture on my IG account and mentioned that Memorial weekend is one that I always look forward to every year as we head up north to our cabin to spend time with friends and family. It has been something that I’ve done every year since I was a kid and I still look forward to it each year. Although it is a weekend where the majority of us are able to celebrate and kick back and relax, I can’t forget to mention the real meaning behind Memorial Day and be so very thankful for those who have risked their lives fighting for our country and our freedom and to those that are currently serving. I’m so very grateful for the sacrifices that they made/are making for each and every one of us. They deserve much more acknowledgement and praise than what they receive so here is another huge THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

With that being said, I’m going to let you guys go and enjoy the rest of your Monday and hope that it is productive and well spent!

As always, thanks so much for reading!

♥ Paige
